Complex Regional Pain Syndrome
CRPS/RSD is a neurological disorder that can occur after a minor injury, such as an ankle sprain. It happens when an injury does not heal properly and the nerves misfire, sending constant pain signals to the brain.
THE RSDSA provides critical support, education and hope to those affected by CRPS.

When Jeff Boyd saw an ad for the 11th Annual Achilles Walk for Hope and Possibility he decided to share it on his own Facebook page. Jeff posted the story and added that this was a good cause and that he wished he were well enough to go. It was this post that prompted Boyd’s friend, Jenny Richardson, to figure out a way to support Jeff and the cause. She decided that if Jeff couldn’t get to the walk, the walk would come to him!

Despite the pain and debilitation Mimi Bertrand suffers from, she says she refuses to give in to the disorder. Mimi's CRPS is systemic; her leg, brain, and bladder which makes it quite complicated to treat. Through your support and belief in Mimi, she says she is going to "defy RSD, not let it define me!"
